Exhibitor conversions supported by automation-led journeys
Visitor registrations influenced by automated campaign journeys

THE CHALLENGE
GITEX GLOBAL required a more connected digital system to support exhibitor and visitor campaigns across multiple touchpoints, including website forms, landing pages, email, WhatsApp, SMS, paid media, and registration journeys.
The challenge was not only to generate campaign traffic, but to improve how that traffic was captured, attributed, segmented, nurtured, tracked, and reported across the full conversion journey.
A stronger analytics foundation was also needed to measure exhibitor enquiries, visitor registrations, paid pass actions, funnel drop-offs, and campaign source performance more clearly.
THE SOLUTION
A connected marketing automation and digital analytics framework was structured across lead capture, campaign journeys, registration tracking, and conversion reporting.
Marketing Automation & Lead Capture Journeys: Oracle Eloqua was used to support campaign email journeys, landing pages, forms, audience segmentation, data management, and automated follow-ups. Website and landing page forms were connected to capture exhibitor enquiries and visitor registrations with traffic source data, helping improve campaign attribution and lead reporting. WhatsApp was integrated into the automation journey, while SMS, WhatsApp, and email supported show-day communication, attendance reminders, event updates, and daily highlights.
GA4, Ecommerce Tracking & Journey Analytics: Legacy Google Analytics tracking was migrated to GA4, supported by a standard UTM framework for cleaner campaign reporting and source-level visibility. Lead events were configured for successful exhibitor enquiry submissions. For visitor registration and paid pass journeys, ecommerce dataLayer tracking was implemented to measure key actions such as add to cart, begin checkout, payment information, and purchase. A user journey funnel was also created to identify drop-offs, understand registration behaviour, optimise campaign performance, and build remarketing audiences.
THE IMPACT
The project helped turn disconnected campaign touchpoints into a more measurable conversion system.
Automation-led journeys supported approximately 48% of exhibitor campaign conversions, while automated visitor campaigns influenced approximately 63% of visitor registrations, based on internal campaign attribution.
The improved analytics setup gave marketing and performance teams clearer visibility into campaign sources, visitor behaviour, exhibitor enquiries, registration actions, purchase steps, funnel drop-offs, and remarketing opportunities.
